November 9th....

I am so thankful to be made in the Image and Likeness of God!
Yesterday, Chrysti, the 4 little ones and I packed up and headed to Covecrest to visit Kaitlin for the day. As you all may or may not know, Kaitlin is a missionary at Covecrest. I am amazed by her growth, her wisdom and how apparent it is that God is working through her. She is such a wonderful person! We had a great and relaxing day spending time with her in her new home. It is so peaceful at Covecrest. We started with morning prayer with Kaitlin and 3 other missionaries. It was a great way to start a day....it makes me even more interested in starting a daily devotional. We just relaxed the rest of the day. We planned on making dinner for everyone so we went to Ingles and got everything we needed. On our way home, we visited the "Tourist Attraction" of the area....if you really can even call it that. Once we got back, I took a great nap....it doesn't help that my internal alarm has been set for 3:30 am these last couple days. Afterwards, Kaitlin, Ally and I attended Mass. Covecrest is constantly getting visitors from all over. Yesterday, a Father from North Carolina was in town and held Mass. He was a wonderful speaker. The Gospel was from the passage about Jesus being in the temple and growing angry because of people not respecting his Father's temple. Father's Homily was beautiful and really spoke to me.

He reminded us that we are made in the Image and Likeness of God by His grace. How beautiful is that!?! You and I both are made to look and live like Christ! I think we all forget this way too often....I know I do. We judge others, we abuse our bodies, we don't respect our neighbors....and we are doing that all to Our Father! We all mistreat our body in one way or another....each person is different....but that is Our Temple that God has given us....what an amazing gift to be truly thankful for. So...Jesus getting upset and showing anger at the people in that temple in the passage really was telling me that he more than likely gets upset with you and I too when we don't respect and take care of our temple that God has given us. Just a little something to think about....

"If you do this to one of the least of these, you have done it unto me." WORDS IN RED. Jesus said it so we can't argue how this should be interpreted, huh? We really need to think way more before we speak or act.:)Love ya!
