Book Worm

Growing up, I hated reading more than anything in the world. You could not get me to sit down long enough to read, believe it or not. But, as I have gotten older, I have really grown to love and appreciate a good book. It started with my friend Kara giving me an AMAZING book by Jodi Picoult called My Sister's Keeper. I could not put it down!

Then it carried on into some classics. I read Pride and Prejudice before the movie came out. Wow did they leave a ton out! The book was so great! I have read every type of book though romances, especially Nicholas Sparks! Bend in the Road and The Notebook and The Wedding are sooooo good! Then some drama, suspense, Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code (another one where the book is a million times better). Then some mystery with Beautiful Lies. One of my favorites is Wicked. I read this before I saw the play on Broadway. It is a really interesting twist to the Wizard of Oz. I read many more Jodi Picoult books and some others along the way. If you want a good, heart warming, tear jerker, read James Patterson's Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. I always love a good cry :)

My lastest love is Twilight. Twilight is part of a four book series by Stephenie Meyer. I finished it in 4 days....500 pages! I couldn't, literally, put it down! Zach was starting to get a little upset with me. But it was that good! And I can't wait because the movie is coming out in November. This pushed me to finish faster. I am one of those that wants to read the book before I see the movie. I can't wait to read the next 3, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

There's a new kid in town!

Kendall Leigh Phillips was born at 3:50pm. She weighs 6lbs 14oz and is 19 inches long! I get to go to Tuscaloosa and see her in October so I will post pictures then :)

Canon Rebel XT

For the wedding, my Aunt Laura, bought us the Canon Rebel XT. This is the camera she uses and she loves it. Now, I can see why. It is so fun to play with and I, of course, now take pictures of EVERYTHING! Zach is just as excited about it! He takes it to work with him everyday. Here are some of my play shots while I try to learn how to use it correctly.

Thanks so much Aunt Laura!

I hate LoVe BuGs!

On our way up to Tuscaloosa, we seriously went through a war zone. The front of my car and windshield ended up being a graveyard for those stupid love bugs. I ran out of washer fluid because I had to wash the window so many times. And, thank God, I have an amazing husband to clean them all off when we got home :)

Back to God's Country...as Zach says

This past weekend we went back to Berry/Tuscaloosa for Shawn's 30th Birthday celebration and a Diapers/Wipes shower for Misty and Kendall. We love going back to visit and see everyone. The weekends need to be longer! Work 2 days and weekend 5 days....sounds good to me! Here are some pictures from the weekend.
Ian had to get some shots. He was a really big boy about it, Holly said. He has the band-aids to prove it.

Can I play too?

They have done it again. Holly and Zelda made two adorable cakes for the parties.

The next Taylor Swift????

The finished product....Happy Birthday Swanny!

I mean seriously....could things for babies get any more cute! Zelda made Misty two diaper bags too. They turned out great.

This is the outfit I got for Kendall. It had three little elephants on it...ROLL TIDE!
Overall, we had a great weekend. To make it even better, Bama won, Tennessee got killed and Auburn lost too.....Roll Tide!

Kendall is coming!

I got a text this morning from Shawn, my brother-in-law, that Misty will be having Kendall on Wednesday!!! Unfortunately, these last couple weeks haven't been the best for Misty. Please keep her and Kendall in your prayers these last couple days of pregnancy. I can't wait to see Kendall. Oh how I love BABIES!

The Pictures from the Honeymoon: Part 2

We're going to New York....We're going to NEW YORK!!!
What a kid at heart....this is how he sat majority of the flight.
What better way to begin our day in the city....bagels and Central Park!
What a gorgeous day!
We took a carriage ride around Central Park.....it was so romantic and a nice rest on our feet :)

The Plaza!

We had so much fun in FAO Schwarz. I can't wait to have kids and then actually have a good excuse to go in a play! The door guys were soldiers...so cute. When they make a delivery to your house...the delivery guy is dressed like a soldier too!
We got lost in Queens...Zach wasn't too happy about it :)
Back on Track in Soho!
Pizza is one of the main reasons to go to New York....the pizza is to die for!

We met up with PopPop, Pat and The Carpenters for dinner at Patsy's.....the best Italian Restaurant EVER!

and the best Cannolis

Oh...he is so cute!
The Lion King was AMAZING! Everyone should see this show!

The city that never sleeps...I love Times Square!

Serendipity is known for their Frozen Hot Chocolate and now you can see why. It was soooo GOOD!
The Lemon Ice Box pie was really good too. I love graham cracker crust!

Walking around the city we ran into Naked Cowboy! Of course, I had to get a picture.
