Check

People...I just can't help myself! I am absolutely obsessed! Come September, I get to check another Broadway play off my list...CHICAGO! I am constantly looking at The Fox Theater's website to see what events are coming and they have another great line up for the Fall. Luckily, I have a big 1st Anniversary coming up the week Chicago is playing....I think we need to make a tradition out of seeing a play every anniversary. If you all remember, Zach and I saw The Lion King on our Honeymoon and I think this is when Zach really feel in love with it all too.....I reeled him in with a good one!

Because of our little one on the way, we decided to keep our 1st anniversary low key and celebrate in town. We are going to go to a nice dinner, we are thinking maybe The Sundial or Craft, see the play and then stay at The Georgian Terrace Hotel (right across the street from the theater). Let's just call it a StayCation :) CAN'T WAIT!

AND....Jersey Boys is in less than one month! Big girls they don't cryyyy...they don't cry!

Okay...I know I haven't even popped the baby out yet...but I am so beyond excited about this magazine full of crafts and activities for all ages! I just ordered Family Fun Magazine. From cover to cover, it is full of adorable crafts, great recipes and fun activities.....and the best part.....For a year subscription....it is only $10!!!! I love being hands on and creative and you better believe this baby is going to get a taste of it :) So I don't have to keep up with all the magazines, I am going to go through each as they come and cut out the ideas I like and put them inside a Family Fun Binder! Can't wait....I also love to organize!

When you subscribe, you get a digital copy of the latest edition to go through....already found a million ideas I can't wait to do. My favorite is on page 92....check it out!

Baby Wish List

My next item on the wish list is this:

A BOB gear Ironman Stroller!

It is very important to me to get back into shape after our Little One is born! Zach has made an amazing suggestion to help this become a reality and I almost fainted again when he said it. He knows my love of running and the fact that I need motivation to keep going. He told me that after the baby is born, we would TOGETHER train for the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville 2010! I know...I couldn't believe it either! So in order to train, I need a great stroller that can keep up. This has been my favorite one so far...minus the yellow. It also comes in Navy thank goodness :)

Lies

They are all lies..I tell you! Whomever said I am supposed to get all my energy back in the second trimester is crazy. I have NEVER been more tired....ALL DAY LONG....in my life! After getting close to 9 hours of sleep every night, I wake up feeling like I got 2 and drag all day. I know I am just a couple days into the 2nd....but wow is this exhausting!

Hello 2nd Trimester

I am officially in my second trimester now....YAY! Luckily, knock on wood, I had a very easy first trimester and hopefully it will continue on. Everyone keeps telling me that I am now in the easiest part of pregnancy, which makes me very happy because I will be much more active during this time. I have started nannying for a family in Atlanta for the summer. They have a 4 year old named Phoebe....much easier than an infant...thank goodness. I also have been able to start a part time job with a designer doing installations and other projects, which I am very excited about too. So energy will be needed over the next couple months.

Over the last couple weeks, things have been changing in my body again. I am much more sensitive to foods...not eating them...but the way I feel afterwards....Hello being bloated! Not much fun. I can now wake up at a normal time and not feel like I am going to die without eating. Much more fun. My visitations to the bathroom at night are less frequent....Hallelujah! I have been keeping active with Phoebe and doing more exercise. One of my favorite work out videos is Turbo Jam (check it out if you have never heard of it http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/turbo_jam_maximum_results.do?code=BBHOME_PARSEA_TJ). It is a fun cardio workout that has great music. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it because it was hard for me before I was preggo....but I did....and I felt great afterwards! I am also looking forward to our pool opening this week! I love swimming and I know this is one of the best ways to exercise while pregnant! I am also going to start looking into preparation classes for me and Zach to take...He is not as thrilled but I look forward to them. Doing this whole labor thing for the first time....even though you hear a ton of stories and watch a ton of Baby Stories on TLC...it is still nerve racking to me. Other than that....not much news. We have our next appointment on June 3rd!

The Baby bedding just arrived....I am pretty sure I was more excited than a 5 year old on Christmas morning! YAY!

Baby Pool

I know it is early...but since we are waiting to find out the gender, I thought a pool would be so fun! I have registered a pool at BeBePool.com.

Here is our website: http://bebepool.com/phillipsbaby

Like I said, I know it is early...But if you want to place a guess.....GUESS AWAY! Our expected due date is November 14th.

I will bring up the site again though as November gets closer and closer...and as we all start guessing, I am also going to make a real calendar with all the guesses and the lucky guesser will get something fun in the end :)

Let the Decorating Begin

I found bedding that can work for both genders...which is rare. The bedding is from Pottery Barn and is very, very simple.....which is very me! I am definitely into a timeless look and not really all about themes. I got it in the light green, which can be accented with light pink, light blue, or brown....come November. The crib collection we have has a dark brown finish, so I think it will work nicely together.

We have a Beat!

Today, I had my 12 week appointment with Dr. Pohl. We got to listen to the heartbeat for the first time and I was so excited. The heartbeat was high 150s, low 160s. I had no weight gain, which is very hard for me to believe, and my blood pressure had dropped a little bit, which they said is common when moving into the 2nd trimester. Overall, the appointment went really well and our baby is growing!
Here is a belly pic at 6 weeks

And at 13 weeks...not too much of a change...but it will be fun to compare in the weeks to come.

And the Draino Test says:

It's a Boy
I did the draino test this morning for fun....Boy was it stinky! The info on the Internet said that you are supposed to wait until after 4 months....so I will do it again then....there is plenty of draino to use :)
The test was fun though....but my gut says we are having a girl.....We will see in November!

Bienvenido a Casa, Kaitlin!

Kaitlin is HOME! We went to the airport yesterday afternoon to pick her up! It was so fun hearing how excited she was to see trees again and how weird it was to be in the car after 4 months not driving or riding. Before even getting home, we made a stop at Chick-fil-a and Kaitlin scarfed down a sandwich!

We met friends and family at Frontera for Kaitlin's 1st meal and her 1st legal drink in America. Kaitlin turned 21 in January while in Spain. So we had a mini Birthday celebration at the restaurant. It is so nice having her home! She brought back fun thing from her travels for everyone. She brought me a pair of glass blown earrings from Venice...and they are green! I love them!

We are so glad you made it home safely and we missed you so much!
