Let's Go to the Movies

We had our 1st Family Movie Night!  Zach and I had so much fun getting Zoe pumped for this night.  Part of the Movie Night is to only watch TV with Zoe and Evan on this night.  Our TV did not go on once this week and it was pretty wonderful.  The first day or so, Zoe begged for Dora, but by Wednesday....not even a mention of the television whatsoever.  Yay!

So after dinner and bath, I set up our concession stand for Zoe to shop at.  This week was any movie, but from now on the Movie will either be related to the theme of the week or start with the same letter we are studying.
Zoe was so excited to sit down and open that purse up and count all her tickets.  We write what she did to earn the ticket on the back of each one and we praised her for each great thing she did this week!  Loved this part.  I feel that positive reinforcement works so wonderfully with Zoe!  Once all the tickets were counted, we went to the concession stand!

Zoe's movie cost 5 Tickets, drink was 1 ticket, candy was 2 and popcorn was 2.  She had exactly 10 tickets!  She got to choose which movie she wanted and chose Alvin and the Chipmunks...she was squealing and saying "I so excited Mommy!"
And each time she got something, she counted the tickets out for me to pay for her new item!

I'm ready for my movie!

Mommy must have been really good this week, being nice and doing all her chores!
Total and complete success!  I am so excited to do this with our family and make wonderful memories for our kids!
