We had an absolutely amazing Christmas morning! Every year, it just gets more and more fun. Lesson learned this year....less is more. I think we are going to scale back in years to come. I love the 3 gifts idea...Something you want, something you need, something to read. I also love that as the kids get older they can go on fun nights out with Daddy or Mommy and buy gifts for their siblings.
This year was so special because we got to celebrate the day with Grammy, Papa and Aunt KK, too. We had a relaxed morning of presents starting around 8 and then had an absolutely delicious homemade southern breakfast thanks to my hubby!
Tradition in our home is that Santa brings one gift and fills the kids stockings.
This year Zoe got a bike and helmet!
Evan received a train/lego table!
Henry got a set of wooden blocks!
Did Santa come!?!?!
HE DID!
Look! He ate the cookies!
Zach and I exchanged gifts this year. Zach got a new pair of shoes, pants and underwear!
AND We are going to see Journey and Steve Miller Band in concert! He was so excited!
And Zach was so sweet and planned out a Mommy Day for me to go to my favorite coffee shop, relax and read a book or blog and then go shopping. Just what this Mommy needs!
We had a great breakfast with homemade biscuit and sausage gravy, eggs, monkey bread, bacon and mimosas! Zach totally impressed us all!
After breakfast, we spend the rest of the day playing outside with our new toys!
We had such a fun day and finished our Christmas celebration with dinner which included an appetizer of bacon jam, homemade pimento cheese and crackers, au gratin potatoes, roasted broccoli and pork roast and lots of games!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Celebration with your families!
