Project #7 - Airstone and the Fireplace!

Since we removed the main wall of our living space, that meant our existing fireplace had to go.  This was a-okay by both of us!  Our initial plan was to center the fireplace on the living room wall and surround it with built ins, but after looking at what it would cost to move the chimney flew...we decided to keep it right where it was and have it flat against the wall (adding no extra cost!).

 With some vacuuming and a little but of spray paint, our original insert looked like new!

We decided to use Airstone to fancy up the fireplace.  It was the look we wanted and very cost effective!  I am so happy with how it turned out!

Now we just need to grout and figure out how we want the mantel to look and build it...then the fireplace will be done!
