Positive Pregnancy

Holy Cow!  I am having another BOY!

HENRY JAMES

....boy is this kid already so loved.  We can't wait for November...even though secretly...I am not wishing away the pregnancy.

I am 21 weeks and doing amazing!  I have had an absolutely wonderful pregnancy with Henry thus far and I count my blessings for that.  And the best part is that he is growing perfectly and looks great from our 20 week scan.  He is about 11oz.  Right on track!

It is just heavenly seeing your little one in ultrasounds!  I cried the whole scan from overwhelming joy.  Since this isn't our first scan...we have had many...we needed no explanation as to what we were seeing.  We just kept saying...ooo look at that precious foot....ooo and there is its perfect profile and look at that cute little nose...oh no its sucking its thumb!  And tears just run down my face because I can't believe our God has blessed me once again and has entrusted me with one of His gifts.

I can just see some of you....why does she have it so easy...why is her pregnancy so great and perfect.  I wasn't always so positive, so thankful.  I have been pregnant 4 times....each pregnancy was a very different experience...each one came with lessons and struggles and joys and emotions galore!  But the thing I have learned from each and every one is that positivity changes everything.  My attitude dictates my pregnancy!  This pregnancy, I refuse to complain....refuse it!

Are you kidding me?  Being pregnant is a gift...having a child is the greatest thing I could ever be given!  How could I complain about that!?!

Yes, there are hard days...yes there are sore boobs and extreme exhaustion, nausea, cramps, kicks, headaches, worry or fear....but look at the outcome!  Is it not all worth it?  Aren't all these symptoms things to be praised...without them, there would not be a growing little one within me!?!?  Bring it on because the reward is oh so sweet!

I am definitely showing now which comes with some fun comments.  I embrace them to be honest!  I have gotten "My, you have your hands full"...."Yes, Ma'am...I wouldn't have it any other way."  Or "Don't you worry how you are going to handle all 3?"...."No, I truly feel I am right where I am supposed to be!"  and the list goes on and on.  People just love to hear complaining or complain...why is that?

I have started going to Jazzercise, snicker away...but I absolutely love it!  The instructor at my last class called me out saying if this pregnant lady in the front is kicking butt...you should be, too!  And I got a big round of applause in the middle of class.  After we were done, one of the older women came up to me and without hesitation grabbed my growing bump and she just couldn't help but congratulate and smile and be happy for me.  She started reminiscing about her pregnancies and told me stories and I just loved it!  She didn't ask how I was going to do it or say how brave I was to be having another...she was positive and loving and it was so comforting.

I praise God for each of my babies, for each pregnancy, for every lesson, for every tear of sorrow and joy.  He has taught me to be positive always...NO MATTER WHAT!  I ma grateful for that.

Gender Reveal Ice Cream Social!

If you have read this blog for any amount of time, you know I will find any excuse to have a party!  Finding out the gender of our sweet little one on the way was a perfect opportunity to get our friends and family together to celebrate!  I decided to keep it low key with a ice cream social on a hot summer day.  Praise God for amazing weather!

This was the first time Zach and I have found out the gender of our little one before birthday...so it was really exciting to get to share this with so many that wouldn't normally visit at the hospital at the time of delivery.  Having done both ways, there are positives and negatives to each.  I LOVE that we waited and I LOVE that we found out this go around.  I am very excited on delivery day to not be on the phone announcing all day and all we need to do is post that our baby has arrived!  But I sure do love those awesome pictures and videos of Zach getting to go into the waiting room and tell everyone who has just joined our family.  There is something so special in that moment!

But on to the party!

We decided to do a balloon reveal!

My sweet girl was convinced baby was a girl...it has taken some time to sway her the other way.  She has got it now though!

What an awesome day full of family and friends and a celebration of our growing family.  So beyond blessed and grateful to our Lord!
